Meet Our Occupational Therapist
Specializing in Mental Health, Chronic Pain, and Trauma Recovery
Hi, I’m Ali — the occupational therapist behind Solas OT.
I work with adults navigating mental health challenges, chronic pain, and the lasting impacts of trauma. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through everyday life — the routines, relationships, and meaningful activities that give us purpose.
With over 12 years of clinical experience, I support clients in rebuilding structure, developing practical coping strategies, and gaining confidence in their ability to handle life’s challenges. When avoidance starts to shrink your world, I use principles of prolonged exposure to guide you in facing triggers, breaking unhelpful cycles, and reclaiming a sense of safety and control — all at your own pace.
Alongside my clinical work, I have extensive experience supporting trauma-exposed professionals and consulting within complex organizational and compensation systems. This background allows me to bring a nuanced understanding of workplace injury, recovery, and resilience to my practice.
I offer virtual services across Canada and in-person sessions in the Fredericton, NB area. Whether you’re seeking treatment or professional consultation, my goal is to help you find clarity, resilience, and hope — the inspiration behind the name Solas, the Scottish Gaelic word for “light.”
